Hello all!

I need someone to beta read my 2017 Big Bang fic.

It's a Due South Fraser/Ray K slash story with just over 20,500 words. There is major angst (I hope) and a character death, but I promise that all ends well for our favorite Mountie.

I believe I need to have any edits done and the final version turned in on September 24th, so we have a little time.

Hello all you lovely people!

I am looking for a beta-listener for my big bang project: 3 Slings & Arrows podfics: Inclusively Players (Geoffrey/Darren, about 2 hours long), 10 (or 12) Plays in the Life of Geoffrey Tennant (Geoffrey & Oliver, Geoffrey/Ellen with some Geoffrey/Darren and Geoffrey/Oliver, about 1 hour) and The Heir of My Invention (Ellen & Oliver, Geoffrey/Ellen with some Geoffrey/Oliver, about 1 hour).

I'm mostly looking for the equivalent of a spelling-and-grammar check: a fresh ear to tell me where I've misspoken, the volume levels are weird, there's background noise, etc. But feedback at the sentence/scene level is also welcome.

Any assistance would be much appreciated! And if you're not up for 4 hours of material but would be willing to do just one of the pieces, that would still be a big help!

Would anybody out there be interested in beta-ing my Big Bang podfic? It is (warning) THREE HOURS and change of F/K/V kink-negotiation by helens78 (Out of Nowhere). I will have already done a round of self-beta-and-editing before passing it off to you. Ideally, getting feedback sometime in July would be great.

I would be particularly gratetful for someone who can be fairly picky about the audio equivalent of spelling-and-grammar check: listening for departures from the text, mispronounciations, distracting mouth or background noises, volume weirdness and the like. Comments about where the acting could use improvement would also be welcome.

A beta gives constructive criticism, which can mean anything from looking at the structure and plot to pointing out grammatical errors and typos in a story, to listening to podfic for mispronunciations to questioning if people really bend that way in a drawing to being a soundboard for vidders, etc. A first-reader/cheerleader can provide feedback and squee to give the creator more energy to keep going, or even help brainstorm, if that's what the creator needs.

Please include the following in your comment:

- Will you beta or cheerlead or both?
- What type of fanwork can you beta/cheerlead?
- What fandoms/pairings/characters are you comfortable working with? To see what fandoms besides due South might be available, check out the Sign Ups post.
- Limitations: are there things you aren't comfortable seeing?
- If you are a beta, what are your strengths and weaknesses? For example: line-editing, plot, structure, characterization, grammar. Do you have any special knowledge that might be useful?
