ds_c6d_bigbangHi there everyone! Below are the primary work submissions for this year's Due South/Canadian Six Degrees Big Bang. Primary creators - LOOK AT THE LIST AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE ON IT. We need any changes ASAP.
COMPLEMENT CREATORS, it's time for you to do your thing. Here’s how this will work. Below is a list of all the creations for this year's big bang. For each primary work, the characters/pairings are listed along with the approximate size and a summary that should include any relevant warnings. On Friday, at precisely When Miz Gets Off Work O'Clock (around 6:30pm Eastern), she will make another post to the community titled CLAIMS POST that will have all the summaries listed again and claims will open up.
Anyone who signed up as a complement creator (ask us if you’re not sure!) may post a comment on THE CLAIMS POST with the number of your choice. You may list as many numbers as you would like, and we will assign each complement creator their highest ranked choice that is still available. For example, if the first comment posted requests “1, 2, 3” and the second commenter requests “1, 2, 3”, the first commenter will be assigned to work #1 and the second commenter to work #2. If the third commenter requests “1, 2”, they will not be assigned a work and we will move on to commenter #4. The third commenter is welcome to comment again and request a different work, but their requests will be honored in order of the second comment they post. If we make it through all the primary works and still have complement creators looking to match up, we’ll open things up for another round. Similarly, if we still have primary works needing to be claimed, we'll open it up to those who had not signed up, then we'll let people claim 2 works if we still need to make matches. Make sense? Summary:
Kowalski can't believe his luck: he's finally dating Fraser, and they're in love. But for reasons not explored at this juncture, Fraser can't have sex with him. Fraser is not asexual -- he desires Ray, their kissing and making out is hot; he just can't consummate their relationship. So Fraser finds Ray other men to act as his sexual surrogates to meet Ray's needs. It can't be the same man more than once -- to avoid emotional attachment -- and Fraser always has to watch.
Ray will be with Fraser any way he can. So he accepts Fraser's wildly bizarre boundaries. But... he is a detective, after all.

Summary for complementary work claiming –Nina MacDonald first met Ray Kowalski in 2003, just as her marriage was ending, and when he and his best friend Benton Fraser (now running the RCMP detachment) had moved into the area on assignment. But Colville Lake, Northwest Territories, is an extremely small town, made smaller for the fact that everyone knows everyone else’s business. A year later, her grandfather, who ran the museum and bed and breakfast for over fifty years and then sold it to Nina, has taken ill 350 kilometres away. Ray steps in to help keep the business running, and both Ray and Nina discover something that wasn’t there before. There’s one problem though: he’s the spitting image of her ex-husband (not that it matters, much).
