Yep, it's time for another checkpoint! As always, these aren't mandatory so if you want to skip it that's fine. And if you haven't started yet please don't panic, you still have plenty of time.
So, if you feel like it, please let us know how you're doing. I know from chats/emails that some of y'all have made some good progress - awesome! Please share! And if you're not too far along, please share that too - maybe saying what's making you crazy about the work will help.
Comment to the post with the below filled out. Only skip what you aren't sure about yet.
Also, if you need to drop out for whatever reason, you can either post that here, or PM either of your friendly neighborhood mods

Date: 2015-06-20 03:18 pm (UTC)Creator: mizface and hazelwho
Fandom: due South
Current Fic Word Count/rough percentage of Art created: 17465 words and one sketch :)
Character/Pairing: eventual Fraser/RayK (looks like we'll get to the actual slash by the end)
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: being creative! And feeling ideas bubbling in my head, usually as I drive to work. It's been awhile since I've felt that push to write before I lost the thread, and it's excellent (and hey, lunch hours at 8:30 am are totally a real thing, right?). Also loving bits and pieces found doing research that make the fic more fun. Oh, and having little things click into place as we get more stuff figured out. And as always, any time I get to work with Hazel is a joy!
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far:Having to stop and do actual paying work when I'm on a roll. not being able to collab in person with Hazel. Wanting to do more art but not being inspired yet.
Anything Else: You know what, I think that's it!

Current Fic Word Count/Podfic or Vid length/rough percentage of Art created: About 60% (6 out of maybe 10 pages of my Dief-centric comic)
Character/Pairing: Dief/OFW (W=wolf), background Ray K&Fraser or Ray K/Fraser.
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I'm having tons of fun with it - it's my happy place to potter in Photoshop and de-stress at present.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: As above - so I'm using it to procrastinate about other tasks I find harder, and about earlier deadlines, damnit.
Anything Else: It's been interesting figuring out a new art technique to get the look I wanted.

Creator: Très Méchante
Fandom:Due South
Current Fic Word Count:*coughcough*
Character/Pairing: Might be RayK/Fraser, but it might also be gen
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: It's cracky. No, really, total crack.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: Mostly, finding the time to actually write. I mean, it's hit the point where I sit in church and mentally work out plot points during songs and homily. Um....is it getting warmer....?
Anything Else: Okay. It's like this: This is a story I tried to write for BigBang a couple of years ago, but things happened and I bailed. But I like the concept and the oddness of the darn thing, so I figured this would be the year to actually git-er done! But... I have not been able to pick up the actual thread from the original outline and start of the story. Nothing. I was on the verge of quitting (again!), but then decided to try a new approach. Everything done to the point is scrap, and I've started anew. The outline is pretty good/solid, and the opening scene/prologue is complete and I like where this may be going. Unfortunately that leaves me very little time to get the story done before deadline.
I'll keep plugging away - and I have a week off coming up so will hole up at the library (coffee shop/wherever) and hope for the best. I'm still in this, but make no promises.
Cheers+pompom waving to all the participants!! *\0/*
