Yep, it's time for another checkpoint! As always, these aren't mandatory so if you want to skip it that's fine. And if you haven't started yet please don't panic, you still have plenty of time.

So, if you feel like it, please let us know how you're doing. I know from chats/emails that some of y'all have made some good progress - awesome! Please share! And if you're not too far along, please share that too - maybe saying what's making you crazy about the work will help.

Checkpoint of long!fic fail. I like what I've written that started out as being for the Big Bang, but FRTDNEATJ, pushing this fic to the Big Bang word-count minimum just isn't going to be suitable for this fic. Sooooo...I'm withdrawing from writing for the Big Bang...but...I <3 the dSC6DBB and still want to participate, so I just now signed up at the dSC6DBB beta post.

Oh - frustrating for you! Don't suppose you could turn it around into a complementary work, maybe, if someone were to do something that met the criteria for a primary, like podficcing it (plus another linked work by someone else to make up the wordcount) or some artworks? The mods'd have to advise though as it'd be a bit outside the usual rules, and you might well not want to do that anyway. Just a thought.

Well, I hope you keep on with the fic, even if not for here. Though also keep what mific said below in mind about Complementary works. We made need more than have signed up.

So, are you planning a second round of sign-ups for complementary works? And what is the minimum word-count for fic that's written to complement art or complement vid?

Just chipping in to link you to the rules post - looks like the min. for complement fics is 2000 words.

Thanks mific for the link! And we have more primaries than complementaries right now, so there's a good chance we'll be asking for more, yes.
