2015 Checkpoint #3

Yep, it's time for another checkpoint! These aren't mandatory so if you want to skip it that's fine. But we really hope you do, so we can squee about your progress :)

So, if you feel like it, please let us know how you're doing. I know from chats/emails that some of y'all have made some good progress toward that 8/23 draft due date - awesome! Please share! And if you're not too far along, please share that too - maybe saying what's making you crazy about the work will help.

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: We hit the minimum word count! I got to write a LOT over vacation last week, and it was so fun. Though I tended to add character scenes rather than further the plot, I like the progress. Some gaps have been filled in, some connections made, and man is this world FUN to play in.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: There's a big scene (w/character intros)that needs to happen *somewhere* but we haven't figured out just where to place it yet plot-wise. My art-fu has been on low ebb, so I'm thinking what I've done will end up a bonus chapter rather than part of the work, which I guess is actually better as far as finding a Complement. But I have all these IDEAS, just not able to get them out of my head *sigh* And I wishwishwish Hazel and I lived closer so we could collab in person some more.
Anything Else: I think that covers it!
